Are you ready for your 1st great view of The Grand Wedding? Here it is! Thanks go to the incredibly talented Kat at Cinema Chic for putting together this highlight reel of Sara & Nicks wedding celebration. I have to say that watching Kat work was very refreshing. I could tell that she really wanted to create a piece of art with her shots and was paying very close attention to details and moments as they presented themselves. But not only that, she made moments without being obtrusive in the slightest.
In just this little clip, you'll get a glimpse into one of the most spectacular weddings SW Florida has ever seen.
No doubt, everyone will be in line to get married at the Sidney & berne Davis Art Center after this!

"The Grand Wedding took place at the exclusive Sidney & Barne Davis Art Center in Historic downtown Ft. Myers on February 21, 2010. This was a collaboration of Florida's top wedding professionals in South West Florida to come together and honor one very lucky couple a wedding of a lifetime."

What's that I hear?
Nothing says wedding like the beautiful music that a string quartet provides. I am so excited to announce that Vanderbilt Strings will be playing the beautiful preludes, processional, and recessional of The Grand Wedding!

It's a 5 week count down!
Planning begins! It has been a whirlwind 2 weeks for Sara & Nick. Here's whats happened in week one.
1st things first, we had to get this amazing engagement ring re-sized to fit Sara's tiny little fingers. Tara at Ring Finger studio created this ring for The Grand Wedding Bride.
Next, they picked out these rehearsal dinner invitations that Sarah Hearts designed for them:
On Monday- the day after they won the wedding, Sara & all of her bridesmaids went over to Lace & Roses Bridal to pick out her wedding gown and the bridesmaids dresses. As much as I would love to show you the amazing dress she picked...I'm afraid Nick will sneek a peek. So everyone has to wait.
Tomorrow...I'll tell you all about their first planning visit: invitation design, floral consult, cake tasting, tux fitting, hair & makeup trial, engagement session. Oh yes, it was a packed weekend.

I'd say this bride was excited to be at The Engagement Party!
These couples were watching some of the great videos NOVP was showing.

Giving out the raffle prizes is always a great time. We gave away Heather Longshore headbands, a 1/2 day rental of the SBDAC, A day of coordination from Weddings by Socialites, a $50 gift certificate to Red Salon & Spa, a bride to be tote filled with wedding magazines, and a couple of wedding in progress signs.
This is Jim Griffith, the CEO of the SBDAC.

bringing the art center back to the gorgeous building that it once was.

I don't think any of us knew how incredibly exciting it was going to be to announce each of the finalists and then winners of The Grand Wedding at last Sundays proposal party. There were tears and screams of excitement and jumping up and down all over the place. Here are just a few photos of the big moment:
Needless to say the surprise and shock was apparent!
It was so great that all of Sara's family came along...just in case they did win! That's her dad in the background with the huge smile and her sisters and bridesmaids getting ready to jump in for the hug.
I think it was the most photographed couple of minutes in Bridal show history
Gotta give huge credit to Krista at Impressions Photography for capturing all these amazing pictures. She never fails to always capture the most amazing emotion shots.
Wink news was there to interview Nick & Sara right after they won.
